Descriptions

Our Knott detachable brake or bowden cables have a piece of threaded bar at the compensator end, and the other end of the cable has a nipple on the inner cable and a 22mm diameter trumpet end which fits over the half shells on the backplate.  These are used with up to 250 x 50mm Knott brake shoes and are fitted as standard to current Ifor Williams trailers and many other manufacturers' towed equipment.  Also see our Knott heavy-duty detachable brake cables which are used with the larger Knott brake sizes, and our Knott stainless steel detachable brake cables.

Please measure the length of the black sheathed outer cable (including where it is crimped into the end fittings),and the length of the inner cable, to determine which cable you need to order.
